Our Algorithm

The AlgoPicks algorithm is the engine that powers everything on the platform. It's not a simple price tracker or a basic sentiment gauge — it's a multi-layered analysis system that synthesizes real-time market data, external intelligence, and proprietary modeling to find mispricings that others miss.

Prediction markets are fast-moving, information-dense, and often inefficient. Our algorithm is built to exploit that. It continuously processes hundreds of active markets, cross-references live data from dozens of external sources, and generates precise, actionable signals — every one backed by evidence and reasoning you can read yourself.

Multi-Source Intelligence

The algorithm doesn't rely on a single data stream. For every market it evaluates, it pulls from a wide range of sources: live exchange pricing and volume data, curated news articles scored for relevance and source credibility, real-time API data from financial markets, sports databases, weather services, economic indicators, and more. Each source is weighted by its track record of reliability for that specific market category.

Fair Value & Edge Detection

At the core of every pick is a fair value estimate— the algorithm's assessment of the true probability of an outcome, independent of where the market is currently trading. When the fair value diverges meaningfully from the market price, the algorithm flags an edge. The bigger the gap, the stronger the signal. This is how professional traders think, and it's how AlgoPicks operates.

Confidence Scoring & Calibration

Every pick carries a confidence score from 0 to 100%, reflecting the algorithm's conviction in its recommendation. But confidence without calibration is meaningless — so our system continuously measures its own accuracy against real outcomes. When the algorithm says 80% confident, it tracks whether it's actually right about 80% of the time. This self-calibrating feedback loop means the confidence scores you see are grounded in actual performance, not arbitrary numbers.

Category-Specialized Analysis

A politics market and a sports market require fundamentally different analytical approaches. Our algorithm understands this. It runs category-level analysisthat evaluates the overall landscape — sentiment, key developments, and cross-market dynamics — before drilling into individual market picks. This top-down approach means every recommendation is informed by the broader context of its domain.

Deep Event Analysis

For events that warrant the deepest level of scrutiny, the algorithm activates a multi-step analysis pipeline. It scores and ranks dozens of news articles and data sources for relevance, then synthesizes them with live tool data — real-time odds, financial filings, weather forecasts, polling data, and more — to produce comprehensive event reports with market-by-market predictions, supporting evidence chains, and fair value estimates. These reports are available on every event detail page and can be shared with other users.

We maintain a real-time data pipeline with Kalshi's exchange, syncing market data, event metadata, pricing, and settlement information continuously. This ensures that every market you see on AlgoPicks reflects the latest state of the exchange, with live price streaming via WebSocket connections.

Automated Trading

Users can connect their Kalshi accounts directly to AlgoPicks to enable programmatic trading. Once connected, you can execute trades through our platform — either manually or through our automated trading features that act on algorithmic signals. Your Kalshi API credentials are stored securely and encrypted at rest.
